come across this error message while doing RDP
"azure an authentication error has occurred. the function requested is not supported RDP with IP"
there is an MS article on this, you can do this on client machine and also do this on server.

this is mainly for "Credential Security Support Provider protocol (CredSSP) is an authentication provider that processes authentication requests for other applications."
its better to settle this in server by applying the patches.
But if you have an environment where all VMs are affected, you have no choice than to work on a client machine and then connect to one server and then apply the patch in that server and rest of the servers.
